Who is Lorraine Kelly?
OBE, Lorraine Kelly is a Scottish television presenter and Journalist most Famous for her work TV-am, GMTV, and ITV Breakfast. Daybreak and Lorraine are her favorite shows up to now. Kelly is the spouse of TV cameraman Steve Smith. The duo was married for nearly 25 decades now.
Early Life and EducationLorraine Kelly was created on November 30, 1959, in Gorbals, Glasgow. Her father John was a tv repairman. She studied in the Claremont High school in East Kilbride.
Kelly began her career working on the East Kilbride News and afterwards joined BBC Scotland as a research worker at 1983. In 1984, she served as an onscreen reporter in TV-am covering news. She introduced on Summer Sunday app together with chief reporter Groff Meade at 1989. Back in 1993 Lorraine combined GMTV and introduced with a wide assortment of applications. She functioned GMTV for seventeen decades. While in GMTV, she hosted apps like Top of the Morning and O’Clock Live. The series O’Clock garnered her the name and fame and after retitled Lorraine Live followed by the names such as LK Today, and GMTV with Lorraine. In 2010 she introduced Daybreak followed with the TV show This Morning. She subsequently worked as a presenter and interviewer for television show Lorraine. She narrated the television show Raa Raa that the Noisy Lion at 2011. Aside from that, Kelly has emerged on Loose Women, Excellent Morning Britain, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Surprise Surprise! Moreover, Lorraine writes weekly columns for The Sun in Addition to The Sunday Post. On 7 October 2009, she had been declared as the primary Agony Aunt for the Royal Air Force’s fortnightly RAF News. She’s been a star patron of all Worldwide Cancer Research, the advocacy charity POhWER, along with also the British Charity Help for Heroes. She’s an ambassador and presenter for STV Children’s attraction since 2011.
AccomplishmentKelly has achieved a good deal during her career travel. She won the TRIC Diamond Jubilee Award for New Talent of the Year in 1991. In 2004, she got chosen as the first female rector at the University of Dundee. Her solutions to the charity obtained her honorary Doctor of Laws from the University at 2008. Additionally, she was appointed as Officer of the Order of the British Empire(OBE) from the 2012 New Year Honours, for services to the armed forces. She had been the recipient of BAFTA Awards, Scotland for Most Popular Scottish Presenter at 2008 and Outstanding Contribution to Television at 2014.
Kelly is married to her husband Steve Smith, a TV cameraman, as 1992. She’s living blissful and contented married life together with her husband in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. The couple will be blessed with a girl Rosie.
