Who is Ron Howards?

Ron Howard is an American actor and filmmaker famous for his mesmerizing work in the movie market. He acquired the fame for a child actor when he played in The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days. He’s led hit films like Cocoon, Apollo 13, A Gorgeous Mind and The Da Vinci Code.

Early Life and Education

Ron Howard was born Ronald William Howard on March 1, 1954, to Celebrity Jean Speegle Howard and actor Rance Howard at Duncan, Oklahoma. He is of mixed descent. Howard tutored at Desilu Studios and attended John Burroughs High School. He’s a drop-out of this University of Southern California’s College of Cinematic Arts.


Howard is an accomplished performer and filmmaker. Brought up at the razzle and dazzle of behaving he had been included in acting when he was just 18 months. Then he led an array of top visibility movies like Night Change in 1982, Splash, Cocoon, Willow, Parenthood, Apollo 13, A Gorgeous Mind, Cinderella Man, The Da Vinci Code, Inferno and Many More. Ron won Academy Award for Best Director for A Gorgeous Mind, and Best Manager of the Year award by DGA to get Apollo 13 in 1995. In 2008, he showcased the world premiere of the movie Frost/Nixon at London Film Festival. He obtained Extraordinary Contribution to Filmmaking Award in Austin’s Film Festival 2009. Besides that he appeared in Jamie Foxx music movie Blame It. Ron is your co-chairman of Imagine Entertainment, a television and film production company combined with Brian Grazer.

The 63-year-old Howard is a married guy. He tied the knot with Cheryl Alley on June 7, 1975. Alley is a writer by profession. The husband and wife have four children namely Bryce Dallas Howard, Jocelyn Carlyle, Paige Howard and Reed Cross. Jocelyn and Paige are twins. The duo is completely dedicated to their union.
